Daddy the fireman

This week is fire safety week. The fire department goes to local schools teaching kids about what to do in case of a fire. Tim made sure that he helped with that this year and went to both Abby and Brooklynn's schools. They think it's great that daddy comes to their school. Tonight they had an open house at one of the fire stations, so we went for awhile to see the trucks and get popcorn!!


Eating popcorn and watching Daddy and his friends cut a car apart with the jaws of life. Olivia was actually the most interested in this and when they were done she asked if they were going to put it back together now....it was funny.


I don't know if the girls have ever really seen Tim in his bunkers because they usually only wear them on a call. Atleast Olivia thought it was strange and kept looking at him like he was crazy wearing that. She asked me as we were leaving "Is Daddy wearing a costume momma?" She couldn't figure it out. Anyway, it was good for them to see a little bit of what daddy does when he runs out of the house when his pager goes off. (Abby and Brooklynn are holding rulers and pencils up by their face, incase you were wondering!)
